With the Academy Awards wrapping up last night, we here at EveryGuyed think it’s time to look forward to the films of 2013. Granted, we haven’t seen any of these films, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the trailers and look forward to their potential greatness. Think we missed a major contender in our list? The Great Gatsby
Baz Luhrmann brings F. Scott Fitzgerald’s parable of the American Dream gone sour to the big screen in a three-dimensional riot of costumes and colours. The cast’s fantastic, too: Leonardo DiCaprio stars as the louche bootlegger Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan is Daisy Buchanan, the sparkly object of his affections. Sure, for those of us that spend our college years carrying a dog-eared copy of Fitzgerald’s masterpiece around campus, this film could disappoint, but it’s got the potential to be great.
